Public Health Hosts Free Immunization Clinics for K, 7th and 12th Graders

FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. – The Cumberland County Department of Public Health is hosting back‑to‑school vaccination clinics available throughout September 2026 to help students meet kindergarten, seventh and 12th grade immunization requirements.

Upcoming Evening Immunization Clinics:

• Sept. 8 – Department of Public Health, 1235 Ramsey St., 4 - 7 p.m.

• Sept. 15 – Douglas Byrd Middle School, 1616 Ireland Drive, 4 - 7 p.m.

• Sept. 17 – John Griffin Middle School, 5551 Fisher Road, 4 - 7 p.m.

• Sept. 21 – Spring Lake Middle School, 612 Spring Ave., 4 - 7 p.m.

• Sept. 22 – Gray’s Creek High School, 5301 Celebration Drive, 4 - 7 p.m.

All clinics are free. School‑based clinics will only provide immunizations for seventh and 12th grade students. Kindergarten immunizations will not be available at school sites. Each school‑based clinic will offer a free bag of produce and snacks to the first 50 families.

Following the Aug. 10 federal Executive Order on childhood vaccines, the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services reaffirmed that vaccinations continue to be safe, strongly recommended and widely available across North Carolina. The state does not anticipate changes to current clinical guidance.
